Six Nations match officials revised amid Iran war

World Rugby has made updates to the Emirates Match Official appointments for the Guinness Men’s Six Nations due to ongoing travel challenges in the Middle East.
Australian referee Nic Berry will not be traveling to Europe and has been replaced for the France versus England game at Stade de France on Saturday, March 14. Georgian referee Nika Amashukeli will take charge of the match, with Ireland’s Andrew Brace joining as assistant referee.
The officiating team for France against England now includes Amashukeli as referee, Brace and Scotland’s Hollie Davidson as assistant referees, Australia’s Brett Cronan as the Television Match Official (TMO), and Italy’s Matteo Liperini as the Foul Play Review Official.
Changes were also confirmed for the Italy versus England match in Rome. Luc Ramos of France will act as referee, assisted by Pierre Brousset (France) and Sam Grove-White (Scotland). Eric Gauzins (France) will serve as TMO, while Wales’ Ben Whitehouse will oversee foul play reviews.
World Rugby said the adjustments ensure the Six Nations matches proceed smoothly despite officials being affected by travel disruptions, maintaining fairness and consistency across the tournament.
