Uasin Gishu Journalists Association is a group that comprises of practicing journalists drawn from various media houses – from National, Regional, to Community Based Media Stations working from various counties of the North Rift region – among them Uasin Gishu, Baringo, Elgeyo Marakwet and Nandi Counties. The organization was started in 2013 with an aim of uniting Journalists and would later be officially registered in 2018. Currently, we have a membership of 51 journalists cutting across Radio, Newspaper, Television and Online media platforms. The mission of the Uasin Gishu Journalists Association is – ‘Promoting professionalism in the media space for a free, fair society through objective reporting’ while the vision is – ‘Amplifying the voice of the voiceless while mentoring and championing the welfare of journalists’
