“Samburu’s Beads of Death” Radio Documentary.

 

In Samburu Young girls between ages 9-15 are  adorned with Black and White beads (Nkerin)as well as  Red Beads.

 

These beads  signify engagement of  the young girls to the  Samburu Morans for  sexual exploitation,

Child  Beading (aisho ntoyie saen) is a  cultural practice that  leads to Female Genital Mutilation and Early marriages.
