MCA Natui Promises Clean Water and New Opportunities for Ngenyilel in 2025!
Under his leadership, 2024 saw over 70 percent of the ward’s budget allocated to solving the water crisis, resulting in the successful completion of five water projects, each costing at least Sh 5 million
Benjamin Natui, the Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Ngenyilel Ward, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving access to clean water for residents, citing it as a key focus for the coming year. Addressing residents and stakeholders, MCA Natui shared updates on the strides made in 2024 and laid out ambitious plans for 2025, promising continued progress in addressing the community’s most pressing needs.
“Water is a fundamental need, and we made it our priority. This year(2024), we invested heavily to ensure the water projects we started were completed,” Natui emphasized. “In the coming year, we will continue this focus and expand our efforts. We are planning to build five more water projects, ensuring that every part of the ward has reliable access to clean water.”
Under his leadership, 2024 saw over 70 percent of the ward’s budget allocated to solving the water crisis, resulting in the successful completion of five water projects, each costing at least Sh 5 million. These projects now serve hundreds of households, marking a significant improvement in access to clean water compared to when Natui first assumed office.
Acknowledging the collaborative efforts of local leaders and residents, Natui noted that the success of the current initiatives underscores the importance of prioritizing community needs. Looking ahead, he assured the public that water access will remain central to the development agenda for 2025.
In addition to water projects, MCA Natui highlighted other key initiatives planned for the coming year. These include an increased focus on education through a larger bursary fund, which grew to Sh 6 million in 2024 and is expected to rise to Sh 8 million in 2025. “We will continue to invest in the future of our children by ensuring access to education. The bursary fund will help many students from poor families, and we are committed to increasing it further,” he said.
Women’s empowerment also remains a priority through the “Inua Mama na Kuku” program, which provides chickens to women for income generation. Natui announced that Sh 3 million will be allocated to this initiative in 2025, helping uplift women across the ward.
As Ngenyilel Ward looks to 2025, MCA Natui’s administration is focused on advancing infrastructure, education, and economic empowerment. The success of the water projects serves as a model for how targeted investments and community collaboration can drive meaningful change. With a clear vision and a commitment to addressing essential needs, MCA Natui aims to enhance the quality of life for all Ngenyilel residents.
