Uasin Gishu County Commissioner, Dr. Edison Nyale, has raised concerns over 5,000 uncollected identification cards and 6,000 driving licenses currently lying unclaimed at the Huduma Centre in Eldoret. Speaking during Customer Service Week, Dr. Nyale urged residents who applied for these crucial documents to come forward and collect them.

“These documents are very important, and we encourage those who applied to pick them up as soon as possible,” said Dr. Nyale. He further noted that the delay in collecting these documents could hinder individuals from accessing essential services.

In addition to the ID cards and licenses, Dr. Nyale highlighted that over 200 birth certificates remain uncollected by parents for their children. He urged the public to prioritize collecting these vital records, which are necessary for various legal and administrative purposes.

The County Commissioner also took the opportunity to commend the hard work of employees from various sectors for their commitment to providing timely services to residents. “Customer service not only ensures timely service but also helps build strong relationships with the public,” said Dr. Nyale.

He concluded by announcing that the government plans to introduce a reward system for employees who consistently excel in their duties, including punctuality. “We will soon start rewarding employees who perform exceedingly well, including those who report to work early,” he added.
