Six Rescued After Building Under Construction Collapses on Kirinyaga Road

At least six people were injured after a building under construction collapsed near the Odeon/OTC area along Kirinyaga Road in Nairobi County.
The incident occurred at dawn on Wednesday, when the structure reportedly gave way, trapping workers inside.
In a statement, the Kenya Red Cross confirmed that six workers who had been trapped were successfully pulled from the debris during a coordinated rescue effort. The operation brought together teams from the Nairobi City County Fire Brigade, the National Disaster Operations Centre (NDOC), the National Police Service and the Kenya Red Cross.
“All individuals have now been accounted for,” the Red Cross stated.
Authorities had not immediately established the cause of the collapse, and the full extent of the destruction remained unclear.
