President William Ruto has reiterated his administration’s commitment to fulfilling campaign pledges by launching transformative projects that directly impact Kenyans’ lives.

Speaking during a groundbreaking ceremony in Moi’s Bridge, Uasin Gishu County, Ruto highlighted his government’s achievements and future focus areas.

“We are committed to fulfilling our pledges by delivering priority projects that directly enhance the lives of our people. So far, we have made significant progress in education, agricultural productivity, and healthcare, and we are now expanding our focus to infrastructure development,” Ruto said.

The President officially launched the KSh1.9 billion Moi’s Bridge and Matunda Water and Sanitation Project.

This ambitious initiative aims to provide clean water and sanitation services to over 100,000 residents across Uasin Gishu, Trans Nzoia, and Kakamega Counties.

The project is part of the government’s broader strategy to improve living standards through enhanced infrastructure and access to essential services.

Once completed, it is expected to alleviate water scarcity in the region, promote better hygiene, and boost economic activities dependent on reliable water supply.

President Ruto emphasized that the initiative aligns with the Kenya Kwanza administration’s agenda to bridge the gap in essential services for underserved communities.

He noted that access to clean water is a cornerstone of economic empowerment and health improvement for rural populations.

“This project is a testament to our resolve to uplift communities by addressing long-standing challenges. By providing clean water, we are not only improving lives but also unlocking opportunities for growth,” he stated.

The Moi’s Bridge and Matunda Water and Sanitation Project complements other government-led efforts in agriculture, healthcare, and education aimed at enhancing Kenya’s socio-economic development.

In recent months, the Ruto administration has rolled out initiatives to support farmers, improve healthcare facilities, and expand access to quality education.

Residents of the targeted counties expressed optimism about the project, lauding the government for prioritizing infrastructure and water services. Local leaders present at the event echoed these sentiments, urging the government to expedite implementation for the community to reap the benefits sooner.

As the project takes off, it marks another milestone in Ruto’s vision of a more equitable and prosperous Kenya. The administration has pledged to continue identifying and addressing priority areas to ensure tangible progress in the lives of all citizens.

This latest initiative underscores the government’s broader agenda to advance sustainable development and improve the quality of life for millions across the nation.
