The session brought together key leaders from the government, private sector, and other stakeholders to strategize on fostering an environment conducive to economic growth and empowerment.
Speaking at the meeting, Mudavadi emphasized the importance of collaboration in building a stable and inclusive economy. “A unified effort is crucial to bolstering the business community and driving national progress.
This initiative reflects our collective commitment to create opportunities for all Kenyans,” he said.
The forum served as a platform for in-depth discussions on streamlining business processes, enhancing efficiency, and eliminating bureaucratic obstacles that hinder investment and growth.
Private sector representatives shared actionable proposals aimed at promoting solutions aligned with Kenya’s national development goals.
Mudavadi highlighted the government’s “whole-of-system” approach, which involves synchronizing efforts across ministries, agencies, and sectors to ensure tangible outcomes.
He reassured stakeholders of the government’s dedication to implementing practical reforms to attract investments and foster a vibrant business ecosystem.
Among the key government officials present were Cabinet Secretary for Treasury Hon. John Mbadi, CS Mining Hon. Ali Hassan Joho, CS Environment Hon. Aden Duale, CS Trade Hon. H.E. Salim Mvurya, and the Attorney General.
The meeting also included representatives from leading private sector organizations such as the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), Kenya Manufacturers Association (KMA), Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), Kenya Flower Council, and Kenya Leather Development Council.
Stakeholders discussed measures to simplify licensing processes, improve regulatory frameworks, and enhance access to credit and market opportunities. Participants also underscored the need for sustainability and innovation to ensure long-term economic resilience.
Private sector representatives expressed optimism about the collaborative approach, noting that addressing bureaucratic challenges would unlock significant growth potential for businesses across the country.
The meeting marks a significant step toward fulfilling Kenya Kwanza’s economic agenda by addressing systemic challenges that hinder economic progress. Mudavadi reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining an open dialogue with stakeholders to ensure the reforms are both inclusive and impactful.
