Speaking at the Centennial Foundation Gala Award Dinner in Nairobi, Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, CBS, lauded Rotary’s pivotal initiatives, particularly in eradicating polio, improving maternal health, and strengthening pandemic preparedness.

“Rotary has been a steadfast partner in enhancing health outcomes for our communities. This partnership embodies the spirit of collaboration that drives sustainable change,” said PS Muthoni, acknowledging Rotary’s dedication to improving healthcare services in underserved areas.

The gala marked 100 years of Rotary’s transformative service in Africa, celebrating the contributions of Paul Harris Fellows and Major Donors who have championed impactful healthcare projects across Kenya.

The event also highlighted the success of recent medical camps organized in seven regions, culminating in specialized interventions at Pumwani Maternity Hospital.

These efforts underscore Rotary’s commitment to addressing critical health challenges and supporting vulnerable populations.

Rotary International President, Dr. Stephanie Urchick, emphasized the organization’s dedication to advancing Universal Health Coverage, advocating for mental health, and tackling climate-related health challenges.
