Hundreds of Simba Hills Limited members,Monday held peaceful demonstrations over ongoing attempts by unknown persons to grab their 1,680 acre land LR No.8304 situated at Moiben Sub county , Uasin Gishu.
Led by their secretar Joseph Tanui the irate members have castigated Moiben Chief Johanna Bett and Assistant Chief Toloita Sub location Ezekial Ruto for what they claim , the duo are supporting the hooligans in the grabbing of the said land.

“This land is not in dispute,We have been in this land since 1969, we bought the land from an asian Sultan Hasham Lalji , in 2020 the Eldoret court decreed that the land belongs to us via a vesting order, we also paid Lalji a total sum of Sh2M being the balance of the purchase price with interest”Said Tanui.
The Court Documents viewed by Hubzmedia indicate the orders were issued on 4th of March 2020 by Judge M.A Odeny .
The 187 registered members of Simba Hills Limited have decried inaction by the Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Dr.Eddyson Nyale who despite three visits to his office over the forceful invasion into their land he has failed to uphold the court decision and the law.

“Persons behind grabbing of our land have been hiring over 200 goons from the neighboring Chebarus Village, they invade our farms armed with crude weapons including machetes and arrows, despite informing the security agents no action has been taken , we are afraid there could be ugly altercations if the County commissioner will fail to uphold the law ” Said Chepkinyor Rodah.
We cannot have people invade private properties at will, this is anarchy, the chief, assistant chief and the county commissioner is aware of the situation we only ask them to uphold the law .She added
It has been claimed that some government officers have been promised plum parcel of our land in order to support our eviction despite a court judgment, we put them on notice and not an inch of the 1,680 acres will be ceded to the invaders, Let Government officers uphold the law .
The Residents have dared to petition the President if the local administrative leaders will fail to administer justice .
So far the County commissioner has directed the Chief and assistant chief in question to settle the matter.
