Missing Siaya County Officer Found Injured but Alive Along Kakamega-Kisumu Highway

Despite being found injured but alive in the Buyani area along the Kakamega-Kisumu highway, his rescue has provided solace.

The recent discovery of Nicholas Oluoch Ooro, a Siaya County officer who went missing on Monday, has brought profound relief to his family amidst a period of intense uncertainty.

Despite being found injured but alive in the Buyani area along the Kakamega-Kisumu highway, his rescue has provided solace.

Upon discovery by police officers from Vihiga, Oluoch was promptly transported to Vihiga General Hospital for urgent medical attention. He was later transferred to a Referral Hospital in Siaya County for continued treatment and care. The attending physician, noted,

“His legs are numb, and he experiences pain due to the ordeal.”

Mary Auma, Oluoch’s wife, expressed deep gratitude for her husband’s survival, acknowledging the family’s anguish during his disappearance.

She stated, “Since his disappearance, our family has endured immense anguish, deeply concerned for Oluoch’s safety.” Despite his survival, she expressed concern for his current condition, saying,

“While I am thankful to God for his survival, my husband continues to endure pain in his waist and chest, rendering him unable to walk. Nonetheless, we remain hopeful for his swift recovery.”

The circumstances surrounding Oluoch’s disappearance became evident when police officers noticed his tattered uniform during a shift change on Monday.

Finding his phone and other belongings alongside raised alarm, prompting swift action to locate him.
