Luis Suárez Reveals Why He Chose Liverpool Over Tottenham

In a candid interview, former football superstar Luis Suárez opened up about his decision to leave Ajax and join Liverpool, revealing that he had offers from both the Merseyside club and Tottenham Hotspur.
Reflecting on his career, Suárez admitted that he didn’t think twice before choosing Liverpool, despite having options.
“When I was leaving Ajax, I had offers from Liverpool and Tottenham… I did NOT think about it and I chose Liverpool,” Suárez shared. The Uruguayan striker’s choice to move to Anfield proved to be a pivotal moment in his career, where he went on to become one of the club’s all-time greats.
Suárez went on to explain that his admiration for Liverpool’s iconic players played a huge role in his decision.
“I was a fan of Gerrard and Fernando Torres!” he said, recalling his admiration for the two footballing legends. “It’s a shame I couldn’t play with Torres, it would have been a dream. I always played on the PlayStation using Torres,” Suárez added, expressing the desire he had to share the pitch with the Spanish striker.
Suárez’s move to Liverpool in 2011 marked the beginning of a remarkable chapter in both his career and the club’s history.
