Ruto: Kenya’s Partnership with GCA Key to Strengthening Climate Action in Africa

President William Ruto has reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to deepening its partnership with the Global Centre on Adaptation GCA and he considers this partnership essential to advancing climate use throughout Kenya and the African continent.
The President explained that the partnership focuses on creating resilient infrastructure and climate-smart agriculture and advanced water management systems which support efforts to fight the rising effects of climate change.
Nairobi Hosts GCA Africa Headquarters
President Ruto explained that Kenya now serves as the African climate adaptation hub since Nairobi became the host city for the organisation’s African regional headquarters.
The GCA will maintain its essential function to collect and distribute funds which support climate adaptation efforts according to his statement which specifically mentioned the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Programme.
The President stated that the program helps African nations become more resilient by providing them with effective and sustainable methods to deal with severe climate change impacts.

The discussions established Kenya’s position as a climate adaptation leader while showing how strategic partnerships will enable the country to achieve long-term environmental sustainability throughout Africa.
