Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar Sudi, has called on residents of his constituency to register for the Health Pension Scheme. According to Sudi, this move will enable them to access healthcare services with ease.

The MP made these remarks during a recent event, where he emphasized the importance of the scheme in ensuring that residents receive quality healthcare.

Speaking at a funds drive, Sudi stated that as leaders, they will continue to organize events to mobilize resources for community development projects, such as building a church.

He stressed that these efforts aim to uplift the lives of residents in the county.

In a related development, farmer Cornelius Serem encouraged residents to utilize their land for farming, citing the county’s favorable climate for crop production. He urged them to plant maize and other crops, emphasizing that no one should go hungry when they have the land and resources to produce food.

Serem expressed concern that some individuals still rely on their neighbors for food, despite having arable land. “It’s time to move away from dependence on others for food. With a good climate and land, we should be able to produce enough food for ourselves,” he said.

The leaders present at the event preached a message of peace and hope, underlining the importance of unity and development in the country under President William Ruto’s leadership.

Zipporah Kering, a leader present at the event, emphasized the need for residents to emulate the spirit of serving God, which she believes will bring blessings and prosperity to the community.

Meanwhile, Elijah Njoroge Kroria, MP for Gatundu North, stressed that tribalism and infighting among leaders must come to an end. He argued that such behavior hinders meaningful development and creates a bad precedent.

Kroria concluded by urging leaders to promote unity and avoid fighting each other, as this undermines the efforts to develop the country and its communities.
