Kaimosi Agricultural Expo 2026 to Showcase Innovations Transforming Agriculture Sector

Organizers of the Kaimosi Agricultural Expo 2026 have invited farmers, researchers, agribusinesses, development partners, financial institutions, youth and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector to participate in a two-day event aimed at showcasing innovations that are transforming farming in the country.
The expo will be held on 6th and 7th August 2026 at the Kaimosi Agricultural Training Centre (ATC) in Vihiga County and is expected to bring together thousands of key players in the agricultural value chain for learning, networking and business engagement.
According to the organizers, the event is designed to be a one-stop platform where smallholder farmers, large-scale producers, and agripreneurs can interact directly with innovators, researchers, and input suppliers to learn about new technologies and best practices that can boost productivity and profitability.
Participants will have an opportunity to attend interactive learning sessions, witness live demonstrations in the field, visit exhibition stands from leading agricultural companies, and explore business and investment opportunities designed to promote sustainable agricultural growth.
The event will also highlight emerging technologies and best practices in crop and livestock production, climate-smart agriculture, mechanization, value addition, agribusiness, post-harvest handling, and digital farming solutions aimed at improving productivity and resilience in the face of climate change.
The expo comes at a time when Kenya’s agricultural sector is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by technology, youth innovation, and increased demand for food security. Organizers say the event will address key challenges facing farmers, including low yields, market access, climate variability, and limited access to finance.
“We are bringing together stakeholders to share knowledge, embrace innovation and create partnerships that will transform agriculture and improve livelihoods. This is not just an exhibition, it is a learning and business forum for every farmer seeking to grow,” the organizers said in a statement.
Youth and women in agribusiness are expected to be a major focus of this year’s expo, with special sessions lined up to equip them with skills in agribusiness development, value addition, and access to credit and markets. Financial institutions will also be present to showcase affordable loan products and insurance solutions tailored for farmers.
In addition, research institutions and agricultural training centres will showcase new seed varieties, livestock breeds, and climate-smart farming techniques that are adaptable to different ecological zones.
The Kaimosi Agricultural Expo 2026 is expected to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders while promoting innovation, sustainability and inclusive growth in Kenya’s agricultural sector, which remains the backbone of the economy, employing over 70 percent of the rural population.
Farmers and exhibitors interested in participating have been urged to register early through the Kaimosi ATC offices or via the official expo communication channels.
