Health and Defence Ministries Strengthen Collaboration to Boost Healthcare Delivery for Military Personnel

The two government departments established their partnership through their joint efforts to enhance medical services which they provide to armed forces personnel.
The two ministries established their enduring cooperation during the session while they developed plans to enhance military personnel health through joint government operations which would treat current national health challenges.
Dr. Oluga explained that organizations must work together to boost service delivery systems because this work will support the achievement of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) implementation according to his statement after the meeting.
Dr. Oluga declared that his organization would continue its partnership with the Ministry of Defence to improve health services while delivering dependable healthcare to military personnel.
The meeting focused on how existing national health frameworks should be used to develop sustainable government-led programs through which national health systems will be improved. The Ministry of Defence established that they required organized partnership methods which would enable their medical system to deliver care without interruptions, especially for staff members who serve in various locations throughout the nation.
Dr. Mariru declared that inter-ministerial collaboration serves as the foundation which enables all government institutions to provide efficient services to citizens.
He explained that all our units need dependable healthcare services which require an approach that integrates all our operational sites to achieve their readiness mission.
The two groups recognized their past joint projects as successful but they needed to maintain their existing programs while increasing their operational reach. The two parties identified unified planning as essential for developing medical facilities which would enable organizations to handle their operational functions.
The two Principal Secretaries decided to enhance their technical teams’ coordination work which would help them implement common targets and improve their operational efficiency for planned activities.

The meeting brought together senior officials from both ministries, including Dr. Nancy Njeru, as well as Ministry of Defence representatives Brig. Dr. Ndegwa, Brig. Dr. J.M. Ngundo, and Brig. A. M. Obilo.
The government demonstrates its ongoing commitment to enhance healthcare systems through its renewed partnership which aims to provide all citizens, including military personnel, with better access to high-quality medical services.
