First Choice recruitment Agency Closes Eldoret Offices temporarily due to Demonstrations

A section of youth who had applied for various job opportunities oversees through the First Choice Recruitment and Consultancy agency were on Friday stranded after the agencies offices located at the Eldoret City Plaza Building were temporarily closed.
The complainants were supposed to travel to Qatar to offer their services for five months during the FIFA World Cup in November this year. One of them who wanted his identity not revealed said that they have lost hope since only approximately 100 youth out of 2,500 applicants have successfully gotten their Visas and flew to Qatar.
“We were about 2500 youth who were supposed to fly to Qatar out of these number, only 100 were successful for the rest of us our fate is in Limbo “he said.

According to one of the Parent whose son was supposed to have travelled, they are demanding the recruitment agency to refund them their monies
“I have come here to plead with the agency to sympathize with my son and i, we struggled to raise the Ksh 40,000 but as of now we have lost trust with the agency, I just want them to give my child his passport”, she said.

Notices placed Outside the Agency offices indicate temporary closure due to continuous disturbances from the rioting youth, however they continue to offer their services in undisclosed location.
