Senator Jackson Mandago has called on Kenyans to exercise their right to vote and praised the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party for embracing technology in its grassroots registration process.

Speaking at a primary school in the South constituency of Uasin Gishu County, Mandago said the party had returned to the polling station to fill remaining positions for party representatives and supervisors. He noted that 20 positions were available, and after previous voting, six had remained unfilled.

“These elections ensure that the party is represented fairly at the polling stations. From the 20 people elected, 13 will serve as accredited polling station commissioners overseeing the nomination process,” said Mandago.

He emphasized the role of technology in making elections transparent and secure, explaining that voters now must present their identification in person, which is scanned and verified before they are allowed to vote. “Previously, it was possible for someone to misuse another person’s ID to vote. Today, the system ensures that only the rightful owner can cast their vote,” he added.

Mandago also urged citizens to register as voters ahead of the national elections, highlighting the importance of every vote in shaping Kenya’s development. “Voting is your responsibility. Your vote decides the direction of Kenya’s progress. If Kenyans had taken responsibility in the past, perhaps we would not have the infrastructure and services we see today,” he said.

He concluded by praising the party leadership and grassroots supporters, as well as President William Ruto, for driving UDA’s expansion and encouraging citizen participation. Mandago called on all Kenyans to take part in the upcoming 2027 elections to ensure continuity of development.
