DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua has accused President William Ruto of orchestrating a series of violent attacks against him and his supporters, alleging a sinister plot to eliminate him and destabilize Kenya.
In a statement issued on May 19, 2025, Gachagua detailed multiple incidents of violence, claiming they were state-sponsored and linked to Ruto’s administration.
Gachagua recounted five attacks between November 2024 and April 2025, including an assault on December 28, 2024, in Shamata, Nyandarua, where criminal gangs threw teargas at him during a police inspection, and another on April 6, 2025, at a church service in Kasarani East Parish, Nairobi County, where patriotic officers were reportedly deployed to counter the violence.
He alleged that 30 highly trained killers, armed with biological weapons intended to poison him, were behind these attacks, with instructions to paralyze him within three months.
He further claimed that Ruto ordered the withdrawal of his private security to leave him vulnerable and accused the President of licensing state-sponsored goons to target his family and supporters.
Gachagua referenced historical violence, including the 2007/8 post-election chaos and the 2008 Kiambaa Church massacre, warning that Kenya’s people have not forgotten such atrocities.
Gachagua also alleged that Ruto attempted to seize a 5-acre piece of public land in Ngong Forest for a private hotel and cited intelligence reports indicating plans to intensify political violence in November 2024.
He urged the CS Interior and other agencies to allow peaceful political activities and called for free and fair elections in 2027, dismissing the DCP Party’s struggles as a zero-sum game that won’t stop Kenya’s liberation.
The DCP leader vowed to continue mobilizing supporters, warning planners of violence that their actions won’t halt the will of Kenyans. He also criticized the government for failing to support DCP meetings while allowing state-backed goons to operate freely.
