Residents of Kamura village in Kuinet, Uasin Gishu County are on edge following a late-night break-in at Al Hudaa Mosque, where unknown individuals reportedly stole equipment valued at more than KSh 100,000.
The incident has been condemned by the mosque’s imam, Ismail Abdi Mohammed, alongside the chairman of Al Hudaa Waqf, Sheikh Abubakar Bini, who described the theft as deeply troubling.
The leaders noted that the break-in comes barely a month after a similar incident at Shamsul Hudaa Mosque in Juakali, raising concern over what they termed a possible emerging pattern targeting places of worship.
Sheikh Abubakar called on security agencies to intensify investigations and strengthen protection for religious institutions in the region.

“We urge security agencies to conduct thorough investigations and ensure places of worship are adequately protected,” he said.
The latest incident has heightened anxiety among residents, especially coming just a day after the killing of a Catholic priest in Bahati, Nakuru County.
Religious leaders and community members are now urging authorities to act swiftly to restore public confidence and improve security across the area.
