Uasin Gishu County Governor Jonathan Bii today launched a special dental unit at Kapteldon Subcounty Hospital in Kapseret/Simat Ward. The new unit will provide cost-effective preventive and promotive dental services to residents of the county.
“This is a major step forward in our efforts to improve the health of our residents,” said Governor Bii. “Oral health is an important part of overall health, and we are committed to providing affordable and accessible dental care to all of our citizens.”

The launch of the new dental unit is part of Uasin Gishu County’s broader efforts to improve healthcare in the county. The county has also invested in improving infrastructure and technological development across all 138 health facilities in the county.
