Mark Some to Environment, Energy, and Climate Change.
These new assignments aim to revitalize key county departments to ensure better service delivery and accountability.
Staff Appraisals and Compulsory Leave
Governor Bii also announced that several senior officials would proceed on one-month compulsory leave to allow for thorough staff performance appraisals.
These include Dr. Janet Chesmel Kosgei (CECM for Lands, Physical Planning, Housing, and Urban Development), Mary Kerich (CO for Environment, Energy, and Climate Change), and Felix Kimutai (CO for ICT, E-Government, and Innovation), among others.
The governor emphasized that this exercise seeks to boost productivity and foster teamwork within the county administration.
Acting Appointments
While the appraisal is ongoing, interim appointments have been made to ensure continuity in leadership. For instance, Micah Kipkosgei Rogony will serve as Acting CECM for Devolution and Administration, while Elphas Kesio takes on the role of Acting CO for Livestock and Fisheries.
New Appointments to Governor’s Office
In addition to the reshuffle, the governor announced two new appointments to his office:

Dr. Pius Kiplimo Chumba as Chief of Staff.
Governor Bii underscored his commitment to accountability and effective service delivery, stating, “The changes are aimed at improving performance and ensuring the people of Uasin Gishu receive the best services.”
