Clinical Services Chief Officer, Dr. Joyce Sang, has emphasized that the automation of healthcare services in Uasin Gishu County will significantly enhance service delivery to residents.
Speaking during a visit to Turbo Sub County Hospital, Dr. Sang announced that the automation of healthcare services has already commenced, with plans underway to extend digitalization to all services. “The automation of services in the county marks a significant milestone in the healthcare sector, unlike previous years when many health facilities relied on paper records, which often led to data loss,” Dr. Sang stated.
She further highlighted the importance of digitalization in the healthcare sector, noting that “with the ongoing digitalization process, healthcare must not be left behind to ensure easy access to patient data.”
During her visit, Dr. Sang also conducted a comprehensive assessment of the hospital’s services and evaluated the availability of essential commodities, such as drugs and laboratory reagents. This inspection aimed to ensure that the healthcare facility is fully equipped to meet the needs of the community.
Many residents interviewed from various sub-counties expressed satisfaction with the improved speed and efficiency of service delivery compared to previous years.
