Ruto: Kenya’s National Unity Strengthened Through Government-Religious Collaboration

President William Ruto underscored the vital role that Kenya’s strong moral foundation, rooted in religious beliefs, plays in ensuring the nation’s peace, unity, and stability.

Speaking at State House in Nairobi, the President highlighted the crucial collaboration between the Government and religious communities in driving Kenya’s economic and social transformation agenda.

The President’s remarks came during a fellowship gathering with officials from the Federation of Evangelical and Indigenous Christian Churches of Kenya, led by Bishop Samuel Njiriri.

The event was held ahead of the national celebrations scheduled for the following day.

Ruto emphasized that the stability and progress Kenya has achieved so far have been greatly influenced by the ongoing dialogue between the State and religious leaders.

According to the President, regular consultations between the Government and various religious faiths not only foster national unity but also help propel the country’s transformative economic initiatives.

“Kenya’s foundation is built on a strong moral society, and our peace and stability are deeply intertwined with the collaboration we have had with our religious leaders,” said Ruto. “Their prayers and guidance are an essential part of our nation’s success.”

During the gathering, Bishop Samuel Njiriri and other church leaders prayed for the continued peace and prosperity of the country, asking for divine wisdom and strength for Kenya’s leadership and its people.

The Federation of Evangelical and Indigenous Christian Churches of Kenya has been at the forefront of fostering community development and promoting unity through faith.

In his address, Bishop Njiriri expressed his appreciation for the Government’s engagement with the church and its role in supporting national projects.

“We are honored to be a part of this fellowship, and we stand with the Government in prayer, asking God for continued blessings upon this great nation,” Bishop Njiriri stated. “We also pray for the prosperity of our economy, and for all Kenyans to live in peace and harmony.”

The event at State House highlighted the deep-rooted connection between Kenya’s religious institutions and the Government, illustrating how faith continues to play a key role in guiding the nation’s leadership towards growth and prosperity.
