Kenya Simbas have begun training for their weekend game against Zimbabwe after returning home from South Africa.
The game will be played at the Nakuru Athletics Club and it features the Currie cup first division game and will be the first of the three home matches.
The game comes after their regrettable loss in South Africa where they lost four out of their five matches by walkover after their late arrival and won one against Namibia.
The Simbas are still in good spirits as they believe they stand a chance to win against Zimbabwe who lost all their six matches.
“The game is ours, we request our fans to turn up in numbers at the Nakuru Athletics Club, we have it on record,” Said Samuel Asati(Tintin) Simbas and KCB rfc Scrum- half.
According to the Head coach, Jerome Paarwater, the home game will be easier to win.
“The boys are now back home, with backing fans and the familiar environment I do believe we will deliver,” noted Jerome Paarwater, Simba’s head coach.
He has also said that despite the Simbas winning their last meet up game in 2019 during the Victoria cup, this time the match will be tougher.
“The players need to be well prepared as this will be a tougher game compared to the last time we clashed,” said Jerome.
He has also said that they have taken into the team five new members from Kabras RFC and are the Fijian Born Jone Kubu, Bryceson Adaka, Lamech Ambetsa and Eugene Sifuna who are expected to make their first debut in the Simbas team.
