Rugby Club Toulonnais and Cheslin Kolbe have mutually agreed to part ways at the end the 2022-2023 season.
After months of speculations, Toulon has finally confirmed their release of the South African Outside back player Cheslin Kolbe at the end of the season.
Cheslin has left the club after two years since joining claiming the club is undergoing some financial challenges.
“I would have liked to stay at Toulon but the financial constraints in the club and with all the injuries made things difficult,” Kolbe said on the club’s website.
The French Club has thanked Kolbe for his services to the team and wishes him the best as he continues training for the World Cup later this year.
“This decision will allow Cheslin Kolbe to commit to a new project from the 2023-2024 season,” said the Club in a statement.
The South African stepper is yet to confirm his destination following the decision by the Stormers as they feared their inability to meet Cheslin’s wage demands.
According to speculations, Cheslin may choose to play in the Japanese league for the One side Suntory Sungoliath.
