President Ruto’s Aide Farouk Kibet and Western Kenya Leaders Criticize Rigathi Gachagua for Divisive Politics
“The Kenya Kwanza administration is committed to delivering on its promises, and the Western region is a key beneficiary of the government’s development agenda,” said Kibet.

President William Ruto’s close aide, Farouk Kibet, alongside a group of Members of Parliament from the Western region, has strongly condemned former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over what they termed as divisive politics aimed at destabilizing the government.
Speaking in Lugari Constituency during a joint fundraising event for various religious denominations, Kibet urged residents of Western Kenya to continue rallying behind President Ruto’s administration. He assured them that the Kenya Kwanza government has lined up a series of transformative development projects specifically designed to spur economic growth in the region.
“The Kenya Kwanza administration is committed to delivering on its promises, and the Western region is a key beneficiary of the government’s development agenda,” said Kibet.
He further dismissed Gachagua’s recent remarks, which he claimed were meant to sow discord within the ruling coalition and create unnecessary political tension.
Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera echoed Kibet’s sentiments, criticizing Gachagua for what he described as attempts to incite the Western region against the Kenya Kwanza leadership. He insisted that the region remains solidly behind President Ruto and will not be swayed by divisive rhetoric.
“Western Kenya is fully aligned with President Ruto’s vision for the country. We reject any attempts to divide us for selfish political gain,” stated Nabwera.
Several other leaders present at the event also voiced their support for the government, reaffirming their commitment to working with President Ruto to ensure the successful implementation of key projects. Among them were Likuyani MP Innocent Mugabe and Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa, among others.
The event served as a platform for leaders to emphasize the importance of unity and development in the region while warning against politics of division that could derail progress.
