Kenya and Kuwait Celebrate Strong Ties

Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry Aden Duale hosted a farewell courtesy call for H.E. Qusai Rashed Al Farhan, the outgoing Ambassador of Kuwait to Kenya, who concludes his nine-year tenure.
The meeting, held at the Ministry of Environment offices, marked a reflection on the deepened partnership between the two nations, particularly in environmental conservation and sustainable development.
During the meeting, CS Duale praised Ambassador Al Farhan’s dedication to fostering strong diplomatic relations between Kenya and Kuwait.
Highlighting the ambassador’s achievements, he noted the significant role Kuwait has played in advancing climate action and biodiversity preservation initiatives in Kenya.
“Ambassador Al Farhan’s commitment to strengthening the ties between our nations, especially in the critical areas of environmental conservation and sustainable development, has been exemplary,” said CS Duale. “We commend his efforts and wish him success in his future endeavours.”
Kenya and Kuwait have worked closely over the years on several environmental initiatives, including joint projects aimed at addressing the impacts of climate change. The two countries have also collaborated on knowledge-sharing programs, enabling Kenya to benefit from Kuwait’s expertise in sustainable practices.
Ambassador Al Farhan expressed gratitude for the cooperation he has received from the Kenyan government and other stakeholders during his tenure. He acknowledged Kenya’s proactive approach to tackling climate change and its commitment to preserving biodiversity.
