The Ministry of Education in Uasin Gishu has finally transferred the embattled Kipsangui Boys principal Richard Tuimur after a series of demonstrations by the students and a Section of Kispangui Residents.
The move comes barely a week after the second attempt by the students to torch the school dormitory last week.
Mr. Tuimuru has been accused of mismanagement and misuse of the schools funds by a section of the parents and the community,
“Many of the students have been punished because of lack of school fees, corporal punishment has been outlawed in Kenya but the principal has always suppressed grievances from the stakeholders instead of addressing them”Said one the Parents.
Mr Tuimur’s foibles for the last three years has been his intransigence in addressing pressing challenges raised by the students over the poor state of the schools dormitories and other critical infrastructure that has continuously forced the students to go on rampage.

The Principal has also been accused of compromising education officers within Soy Sub County hence his hardheadedness in addressing the challenges that could have led to loss of lives in the latest attempt by the students to torch the school’s dormitory.
“Kipsangui Boys was built in 1975 this is the first time we are experiencing this kind of challenges , lately the school had become a police post with armed officers manning the school 24hrs , what kind of a learning environment was that , it’s clear the principle has no requisite management skills” Said Mr John Bor a resident of Kipsangui .
The Uasin Gishu County Director of Education Hassan Khalif has assured parents and students of Kispangui that all challenges raised by the stakeholders are being addressed.
