A sigh of relief to Hundreds of shop owners housed at Keiyo House Cooperative Society in
Eldoret town after a court halted the demolition of the multi-million shillings building.
Eldoret court extended orders restraining demolition of the building till further directions are given over plans to bring the property down to pave way for construction of a KSH130M business mall.
Tension and anxiety gripped the traders who operated their business in the building when they were served with a court order directing them to vacate the property or be forcibly evicted.
Eldoret West police boss Edward Masibo who was accompanied by Turbo Deputy County Commissioner Mohammed Mwabudzo cut short their plan to effect the court order after receiving another restraining court order.
