Eldoret:Man to serve 3 years in prison for sending wife offensive messages!

An Eldoret court has imposed a sentence of 3 years imprisonment or a fine of 100,000 on a man who pleaded guilty of sending his estranged wife offensive text messages.
The act was carried out between 10th and 19 July where Fidel Ochieng used his cell phone to send abusive messages to Sharon Bwonya .
The barrister told the court that Ochieng used vulgar language when referring to the complainant’s words that even the court clerk was embarrassed to read them out loudly.
The defendant asked for forgiveness before Senior resident Magistrate Nancy Barasa claiming he did it out of anger as his wife was influenced by the parents to leave him although she claimed to love him.
Barasa said the words used by Ochieng were impolite to the complainant and her parents.
The defendant has 14 days to appeal.
