Friends School Bwake Boys emerged victorious in the 2024 KSSSA National Rugby 7s, defeating Vihiga Boys 19-14 to claim the title in the boys’ category. This victory marks a historic moment for Bwake Boys, as they will qualify for the Rugby 7s East Africa competition in Uganda for the first time.

They will be joined by second-place Vihiga Boys, third-place St. Mary’s Yala, and Kisii School, who also secured their spots.

“We are thrilled with our performance and proud to represent our school on the East African stage,” said Bwake’s coach, reflecting on the team’s hard-fought journey to the top.

In the girls’ category, St. Joseph’s Girls Kitale were crowned the 2024 KSSSA National Rugby 7s champions after securing a 10-05 win over Kinale Girls. St. Joseph’s, often referred to as “JOGA,” maintained an unbeaten streak throughout the competition, from the zonal level to the national finals, solidifying their status as a powerhouse in girls’ rugby.
