Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has cast doubt over his future at the club following a dramatic 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League.

Speaking candidly after the match, Ancelotti admitted that he is uncertain whether this was his final Champions League appearance in charge of Los Blancos.

“I do NOT know if this one was my last UCL game at Real Madrid, and I do NOT WANT to know,” the Italian tactician said, visibly emotional. “We had a fantastic era. We still have La Liga, Copa del Rey and Club World Cup,” he added, emphasizing that the season is far from over despite the European disappointment.

In a thrilling match at Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid took the lead in the 67th minute through Vinicius Junior.

However, Arsenal turned the tide late in the game with Bukayo Saka equalizing in the 65th minute, and Gabriel Martinelli securing a dramatic winner in the third minute of stoppage time.

The loss has not only ended Madrid’s hopes for another Champions League title this season but has also raised questions about Ancelotti’s future.

While he has led the club to numerous trophies, including multiple Champions League titles, pressure is mounting amid rumors of a potential managerial reshuffle at the end of the season.

Ancelotti’s tenure at Madrid has been marked by success and admiration from players and fans alike. However, the club’s high standards mean even a revered figure like him is not immune to speculation.

With La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the Club World Cup still up for grabs, Ancelotti made it clear he remains focused on the objectives ahead.
