The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition has blown off the lid on the identity of the alleged killer squad labeled ‘ Operation Support Unit’ (OSU) which they claim was allegedly unleashed by the government to harm them and the protesters.
Wiper Party leader Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation stated that they have information containing the identity of the squad members and how they operate.
“We know its members wear civilian clothes, they travel in groups of five people from one ethnic group” stated Kalonzo at a press conference on Tuesday at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation.
“They are heavily armed with lethal weapons and are better facilitated in logistics, communications, and transportation.”
The Wiper leader further claimed that OSU is responsible for the fatalities reported from last week’s protests, including that they fired from several Subaru vehicles and a Toyota Succeed.
“This is a group that killed people in Kamkunji, Mlolongo, and Jogoo road. They fired at people from unidentifiable green, black, grey, silver, red and white mostly Subaru vehicles and they also fired from one grey Toyota Succeed,” he added
Azimio Leader Raila Odinga on Saturday, July 15th stated in a statement that the OSU, which he claimed disintegrated a while ago has been revived and it is the squad the government is leaning upon ‘Kusafirisha’ the Azimio leaders.

“OSU, now under a Mr.Zachary Kariuki, was disbanded a few years ago and its members sent home. The squad is back. Last Wednesday the OSU was in Kamkunji, Jogoo Road, and Mlolongo firing at protesters and killing some.OSU’s main mission is to hurt and execute the Azimio leaders and the demonstrators.
