Manchester City have reportedly been found guilty of 114 out of 115 alleged breaches of Premier League financial regulations, according to The Athletic.
The findings were reportedly reached by an independent commission investigating allegations against the club dating back to the period between 2009 and 2018.
The Premier League charged City in February 2023 following a four-year investigation. The allegations include claims that the club provided inaccurate financial information, breached financial sustainability rules, violated UEFA regulations and failed to cooperate with the league’s investigation.
According to the report, the commission ruled against City on all but one of the 115 charges. However, no sanctions have been determined, leaving the potential consequences of the findings unresolved.
Manchester City are expected to appeal the decision, with the case potentially moving to another independent panel for review.
The club has consistently denied the allegations and maintains that the legal process remains ongoing.
Responding to the latest reports, City said significant elements of the Premier League process were yet to be completed and remained subject to strict confidentiality.
The club also reiterated its long-standing position that it had respected due process throughout the case and expected the Premier League to operate as an independent and impartial regulator.
The charges cover nine seasons and represent one of the most extensive financial cases brought against a Premier League club.
With sanctions yet to be decided and an appeal expected, the case remains unresolved despite the reported commission findings.
