A section of Uasin Gishu parents who have been demonstrating following the botched Finland/Canada airlift program have threatened to initiate the removal from office of the Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii and Senator Jackson Mandago.
Led by human right activist Kimutai Kirui they have vowed to resume their weekly street protests demanding a refund of their money even as investigative agencies continue with their investigations into the multi- million scam.
“We want to inform Kenyans and Our leaders that we shall be resuming street protests to continue demanding a full refund of our money ,even as the court process continues” Said Kimutai
The court process has no timelines therefore we cannot wait to demand our refund ,our children want to resume their studies now.He added
The parents have also vowed to disrupt Governor Bii’s calendar of activities by storming his functions
“Apart from our protests come Monday ,we will storm every meeting that the Governor will be attending , we want them to refund back our monies” Said one of the parents
Uasin Gishu senator Jackson Mandago is currently facing a court process in Nakuru where he is facing several charges including an intent to commit a felony and misuses of office .
