Uasin Gishu Leaders Grieve the Passing of Former Huruma Ward MCA Lucy Ng'endo Chomba
Uasin Gishu leaders are mourning the loss of former Huruma Ward MCA Lucy Ng’endo Chomba, who passed away at her residence on Tuesday night. Chomba, who assumed office after her husband, the late Peter Kiiru Chomba, served as Huruma MCA until his death in 2020. The cause of her passing remains undisclosed.
Langas Ward MCA Francis Muya Mwangi and a close friend of the Chomba family confirmed the incident to Hubzmedia.
Before her demise, Lucy Chomba devoted herself to managing her late husband’s estate. On March 2nd, 2024, she appealed to President William Ruto after her property was demolished by the county government for the construction of a modern market in Eldoret CBD. She claimed ownership of the property valued at millions of shillings.
Last month, Chomba urged the Kapseret member of parliament to assist families left homeless by a fire in Langas Estate. Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi pledged to secure employment for Chomba after she lost her seat to the incumbent, Wakili Kimani Wanjohi.
