Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Nominates New CPSB Chairperson, Board Members

The County Government of Uasin Gishu County has unveiled nominees for the new County Public Service Board (CPSB) in a move aimed at strengthening governance and improving public service delivery.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim announced the nomination of Paul Kibet as chairperson of the board, alongside five nominees for membership.
The nominees are
Daniel Kiptoo Melly,
Dr. Emily Jeruto Ng’eno
Augustine Rop Cheruiyot
John Kiprotich Tanui,
Angeline Atieno Oyomo.
According to the governor, the nominations were made in line with Section 58 of the County Governments Act and are subject to approval by the County Assembly.
“The nominations underscore the County Government’s commitment to strengthening institutional leadership and enhancing efficiency, professionalism, inclusivity, and accountability in the management of public service affairs,” the statement read.
The nominees will now undergo vetting by the County Assembly before their appointments are confirmed.
The County Public Service Board is responsible for overseeing human resource functions within county governments, including recruitment, promotions, and disciplinary matters involving county staff.
