Chama Cha Mapatano Party Leader, Damaris Too, has urged students at Cheptil High School to take their education seriously, emphasizing that academic excellence is the key to unlocking future opportunities.

“Education is the foundation of success. If you focus on your studies, doors will open for you in ways you never imagined,” she said.

Speaking during the commissioning of a water project at the school, Too particularly encouraged female students to remain committed to their academic and career aspirations.

“What a man can do, a woman can do even better. Never let anyone make you feel inferior because of your gender,” she stated.

Recalling her own days at Cheptil High School, Too shared the struggles she and her classmates faced due to water shortages.

“We had to walk to the river after classes to fetch water, which was not an easy task. I am glad that this water project will ease the burden for students,” she said.

She also took the opportunity to call on political leaders to remain truthful and honor their campaign promises.

“Leaders must always speak the truth and fulfill the pledges they make to the electorate. Integrity in leadership is crucial,” she remarked.

Additionally, Too advised students to maintain a strong spiritual foundation and avoid negative influences that could derail their education.

“Always pray and ask God for guidance in your academic journey. Stay away from bad company because peer pressure can lead you astray,” she cautioned.

Reflecting on her own past mistakes, she admitted that she once fell into bad company but was fortunate to have a mother who never gave up on her.

“My mother constantly guided me, and that is why I became a better person. Learn from my experience and choose your friends wisely,” she concluded.
