Soy:Over 400 suspects nabbed and 22,000 Litres of kangara destroyed!
The operation under the command of Ocs Kamukunji Shadrach Kilonzo and area chief Kibulgeny, Sitieni kemei within Kamukunji and Kambi Teso led to the destruction of 60 litres of Chang'aa and 400 litres of Kangara,one suspect arrested.
Police Officers in Soy Sub county, Uasin Gishu Wednesday netted and destroyed over 60 litres of Chang’aa and 400 litres of Kangara illicit brew within Kamukunji and Kambi Teso area.
The operation under the command of Ocs Kamukunji Shadrach Kilonzo and area chief Kibulgeny, Sitieni Kemei led to the arrest of one suspect who will be arraigned before an Eldoret Court on Thursday

Soy Sub County Deputy Police Commander Henry Zuma has warned against those who continue to engage in the illicit trade that the law will soon catch up with them,
“We will not relent in the fight against illicit brew , The President is clear on this fight ,those engaging in the trade should be warned that soon we will apprehend them and take them before a court of law , let them engage in any other legitimate business” Warned Zuma.
The Spirited Fight against illicit brew in Soy sub County has so far led to the destruction of 5,460 litres of Chang’aa,230 litres of Busaa and over 22,400 litres of Kangara.
Over 467 suspects have since been arrested and arraigned in court in the ongoing operation.
