President William Ruto has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to mentoring and supporting children across Kenya.

Speaking at an event in Ng’ando, Dagoretti South, the President emphasized the importance of equipping the younger generation with the tools they need to contribute meaningfully to the country’s transformation.

“We will educate, mentor, and support our children to exploit their talents so that they can productively contribute to the transformation of our country,” President Ruto stated during the official opening of the Lenana School Primary tuition block.

The event marked a significant milestone for learners in the area, as the President handed over school uniforms to more than 2,500 students. This gesture aligns with the government’s broader education agenda, which seeks to improve access to quality learning facilities and empower learners from all backgrounds.

President Ruto also announced an ambitious plan to address the growing demand for educational infrastructure in Nairobi County. His administration is constructing more than 3,500 new classrooms to accommodate the rising number of children enrolling in schools.

The President’s initiative underscores the government’s resolve to eliminate barriers to education, particularly in urban areas where schools face overcrowding.

“Our aim is to ensure that every child, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to learn in an environment conducive to nurturing their talents,” he added.

The Lenana School Primary tuition block is expected to enhance the quality of education in the Dagoretti South constituency by providing a modern learning facility for young learners.

The new classrooms, once completed, will further support the government’s agenda to implement the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) effectively.

This move comes amid ongoing efforts by the government to decentralize education services and ensure equity across the country.

With Nairobi being one of the most densely populated regions, the need for expanded educational infrastructure has become increasingly urgent.

As the government continues to prioritize education, parents and community leaders in Ng’ando have lauded the efforts, expressing optimism that such investments will positively impact the region’s future.

By creating an environment that nurtures talent and promotes access to quality education, the Ruto administration is not only laying the foundation for academic excellence but also investing in the nation’s socio-economic growth.
