This rare but so nostalgic picture reminds me the first and last time I stole money.
I was almost crucified with that guy. It was the pentagon shaped Ksh 5. It was good money Gen Z. I’m a millennial.
So this particular year was 2005. Our headmaster had requested us to carry King’ori else nobody will be allowed to watch this month’s birthday boy being crucified.
I thought my father would not give me that money. So I reached for his jacket picked the 5/- and put it in my shorts’ pocket in the evening. Early morning came, mum was preparing me for school. So while I was putting on my tiny shorts, the metal decided it will fall down and spin to when my father was seated. My mum just went, “Hio pesa imetoka wapi?” 😂
Dad stood up reached for his belt. Ilikuwa ni mazishi.
I sang how I performed the major money heist in his bedroom where he hangs his jackets.
After proper beating before Jesus could receive some that evening in the school hall, dad decided to make me even more guilty.
He gave me the same coin, saying, “Kama ni gyesu kwenda ona yeye rakini apana iba pesa utachomwa ukufe ugwache gyesu wako akifufuka kesho kutwa.” 😂Unless I have dementia I just don’t remember stealing from anyone since that day.
Mimi na yule Simon alibeba msalaba wa yesu si tulikuwa same WhatsApp group?
That was my failed money heist story.
