Mwanzo residents protest over defilement case!
“these women will make us hate children”

Residents of Kambi Karatasi in Mwanzo estate have taken to the streets protesting over the arrest of a middle aged man suspected to have defiled a minor.
Led by human right activist Evance Odhiambo and Pastor Lubanga Judith who is also the area village elder,they have accused police officers for arresting Joseph Ndu’ngu who they claim has been framed by the victim’s family.
“I have been a village elder for a very long time, Ndu’gu who is a plumber can never commit such a crime,he is a humble young man his love love for young children happens to be his misdemeanor .”Stated Pastor Judith
According to the human right activist, the young man was arrested on trumped up charges and that they will be demanding for a second test to determine with uncertainty the suspect behind the heinous crime”
“The family of the victim has colluded with the police officers , we will demand justice for both the Victim who is a three year old girl as well as justice for the accused ,we believe the person who committed the crime is out there” Said the human right activist.
Addressing Hubzmedia at the Eldoret law court ,The suspect’s lawyer Nathan Oburu stated that they will be appealing over the accused person denial of bail and who is currently being held at the Police cells ,
“We will be demanding a second test to indeed determine the involvement of my client in the alleged offence,we sympathise with the minor however for justice to prevail the person who committed the offence has to be brought to book, and this we shall be demonstrating the innocence of my client” Stated the High court advocate.
Young men from Mwanzo Estate have expressed their fears over increased cases of trumped up defilement charges,
“We will fear getting close to small children and especially young girls, these women will make us hate children” stated Ernest Ruto.
The accused Joseph Ndu’ngu was charged with defiling the minor on 20/8/2023.
The appeal case will be heard on 12th-09-2023 at the chief magistrate’s court.
