Muslim faithful Friday held peaceful demonstrations against LGBTQ

Muslim faithful in Uasin Gishu county Friday held Peaceful demonstrations in support of a bill fronted by Nyali MP Mohammed Ali to ban publication and discussions around LGBTQ in the country.
Led by Sheikh Abubakar Bini the chairperson of the Council of Imams and preachers of Kenya North rift region and Imam Abdulaziz Mohammed of the Ap masjid ,the group staged peaceful demonstrations within the town of Eldoret and along the Busy Eldoret-Uganda High way to express their stand on LGBTQ.
“It won’t be possible for us to accept this immoral act because our country is one that respects religion,customs and traditions,”said Bini.
They have urged other legislators in the National assembly to join hands with Nyali MP Mohammed Ali on the bill that seeks to curtail the spread of homosexuality in the country.
“Mps should support the Bill fronted By Nyali MP , We have seen them stand together on other issues and we demand that they show their support towards this bill that will protect the moral fibre of this country ,”added Bini
The Muslim faithful have also implored upon The Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board that has the responsibility of regulating and enabling the NGO sector in Kenya not to register LGBTQ lobby groups despite a favorable ruling by the Supreme Court .
Zainab Chepkieny, one of the muslim women said Kenyans should be firm in denying this act since the Quran and the bible are not in support of it.

“We rebuke this act and see it as evil and demonic. If we allow same sex relationships in the country we shall face natural disasters like hunger because of the wrath of Allah,”said Chepkieny.
Benson Mwaura a Christian who joined the muslims in their Friday peaceful protest challenged the Kenyan government to borrow a leaf from Uganda that has seen President Yoweri Museveni sign laws to tame homosexuality in that country .
“We have been silent on this issue long enough but as per now the government has done nothing to do away with this group,we ask our president to take drastic steps that will demonstrate he is anti LGBTQ just like what President Museveni has done , We ask our president not to be arm twisted by foreign countries to allow this behavior ust to receive foreign aid”,said Mwaura.
