Mombasa County Commissioner assures residents of enhanced security to promote business environment

Mombasa County Commissioner John Otieno has called on cooperation between leaders and locals in a bid to enhance security within the county.
Otieno has urged Mombasa residents to divulge useful information to the relevant authorities,
This, he says, will facilitate security operations within the county..
”I am calling on citizens to provide intelligence information as well as report any cases of insecurity so that our officers can conduct their duties with ease,” he noted
Otieno was speaking during Mashujaa day celebrations held at Mama Ngina Waterfront, Mombasa county on Thursday.
He pointed out that adequate security contributes largely to a stabilised economy, especially the tourism sector.
” I want to urge the leaders and the residents to support us in beefing up security,our economy depends on the security situation.” Said Otieno.
His statement was echoed by the county Governor Abdulswad Shariff Nassir, who promised to hold a meeting with security stakeholders drawn from the county and the National Government.
Nassir noted that the meeting is aimed at cementing efforts towards a stabilised county.
” Soon i am planning to have a meeting with all security stakeholders across the county in order to come up with concrete strategies that will help beef up security in the country ” said the county boss
