Former First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Monday visited family, friends, and well-wishers of Shujaa Muthoni Likimani at Zereniti House in RedHill, Limuru, to celebrate the icon’s 100th birthday. Vibrant celebrations, held on Mashujaa Day, celebrated a woman whose incredible life has made a huge impact in Kenya’s history in education, literature, broadcasting, and women empowerment.

The ceremony was attended by a galaxy of renowned people, including clerics, professionals, and leaders from different communities, brought together by a common respect for the great legacy of Muthoni Likimani. The event offered more than the mere celebration of her lifetime as it provided an occasion to recognize her long-lasting impact on social and cultural evolution in Kenya.
