Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has launched a fiery response to critics following his team’s impressive performance that kept their Champions League hopes alive. The manager, visibly proud and emotional, praised his young squad and didn’t hold back during the post-match interview.
With pressure mounting ahead of the crucial fixture, many pundits had questioned the team’s youth, inexperience, and ability to handle high-stakes matches—particularly on away grounds.
But after a resilient performance on a difficult pitch, Maresca let his passion take center stage.
“They were saying that we are too young. We are not good enough,” Maresca said. “They said we couldn’t win on this pitch, that we lacked experience.”
But after watching his side defy the odds and silence the doubters, the Italian manager delivered a blunt message in English to those who had written them off:
“Unfortunately for them, they’ve all been wrong. All the ones who think they have the truth and answers for everything. So in English, I will say f-off to all of them because the players deserve that. The way they have been doing has been fantastic.”

The critics, however, believed the pressure would crack the young team’s resolve. Instead, they responded with maturity, intensity, and composure.
With just a few games left in the season, the Champions League race remains tight—but Maresca has made one thing clear: his squad won’t back down quietly.
