Manchester United are on the verge of securing the signature of Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha in a high-profile move worth £62.5 million, sources close to the club have confirmed.

The 25-year-old has reportedly accepted the club’s project, and personal terms are now being finalised, with only minor details left to complete the agreement.

The Red Devils are prepared to trigger the £62.5 million release clause, marking another major investment under their new transfer strategy.

Cunha, who currently plays for Wolverhampton Wanderers, has impressed with his pace, technical skill, and attacking versatility — qualities that United manager Erik ten Hag is said to be prioritising as he rebuilds his squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The move is expected to be officially confirmed once all contractual elements between the player, United, and Wolves are settled. The deal would make Cunha one of the most expensive Brazilian signings in Premier League history.
