Manchester United are on the verge of completing the signing of Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a deal worth £62.5 million, according to multiple sources close to the negotiations.
The move follows Cunha’s approval of the transfer earlier this week, where he reportedly gave the “green light” to join the Red Devils, aligning with the club’s sporting project under manager Ruben Amorim.

In the 2023/24 season, he netted 12 goals and contributed several assists in Premier League matches, quickly becoming a fan favorite at Molineux for his dynamic play and versatility in the forward line.
Cunha’s imminent move is part of Manchester United’s broader transfer strategy to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2024/25 season.
With questions surrounding the consistency of Anthony Martial and the need to provide competition and support for young striker Rasmus Højlund, Cunha’s arrival is seen as a crucial reinforcement.
