Leaders Celebrate Prof. Kithure Kindiki’s Nomination as Deputy President

Following the announcement of Prof. Kithure Kindiki’s nomination as Kenya’s next Deputy President, prominent leaders have come forward to express their support and extend their congratulations.

Kindiki, who currently serves as Interior Cabinet Secretary, was nominated by President William Ruto to fill the position vacated by Rigathi Gachagua.

One of the first to send his best wishes was the Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Aden Duale, who praised Kindiki’s leadership capabilities and expressed confidence in his ability to help steer Kenya toward a prosperous future.

In his message, Duale said, “Congratulations to my brother and colleague Prof. Kithure Kindiki on your nomination as Deputy President. I have full trust in your leadership, alongside President William Ruto, to guide our country towards a prosperous future. Best wishes as you take on this important role!”

Kimani Ichung’wah, the Majority Leader in the National Assembly, also joined in commending Kindiki. He urged the new Deputy President nominee to serve diligently and to focus on uniting the country.

“Congratulations, my brother Kithure Kindiki, on your appointment as Deputy President. Serve diligently, selflessly, and with zeal to bring the country together under one flag and move the nation forward,” Ichung’wah said.

He further emphasized the importance of hard work, patriotism, and inclusivity as Kindiki steps into this new role.

“Work tirelessly with dedication and purpose, striving to ensure progress, unity, and prosperity for all. Let the spirit of patriotism, inclusivity, and hard work guide you in this important assignment as we build a brighter future for our beloved country,” he added.

Prof. Kindiki’s nomination comes at a time of both opportunity and challenge for the country.

As Interior Cabinet Secretary, he earned recognition for his calm leadership and firm handling of national security matters.

His track record in these areas is seen as an asset as he transitions into the second-highest office in the land.

The nomination has sparked a wave of support, not only from political leaders but also from citizens who see him as a steady hand capable of helping President Ruto lead Kenya forward.
